Gary Louis Black, Sr.
Since 1995, Gary Black, Danny Price, and Leo Abel have been working together.
Gary is an employee benefits professional specializing in health, disability, and life insurance planning for businesses.
For Gary, 1974 was a banner year. Then, his life advanced in three vital ways:
In September he entered the insurance business as an agent with Southwestern Life. In November he married Hoppy Scarle. That same year in December he graduated from the LSU School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Gary became an Independent Broker in 1976. He was recruited to manage the Group Benefits Department at Omni Group in Baton Rouge in 1985, producing new group business for Omni Group while maintaining the prior block of group business.
Ten years later he bought the group block of business from Omni Group and began his current association with Danny Price and Leo Abel.
Gary and his wife Hoppy have been active in their church “The Chapel on the Campus” since 1974. Gary has served and continues to serve on various non-profit organizations. Gary and Hoppy are parents of two sons, Gary Louis Jr. and Barrett, and enjoy three granddaughters.
Gary Black and the advice and services he offers are not affiliated with Raymond James.
